Income disclosure
Our writers and editors are not aware of any potential income we may receive from a review before it is written.
This ensures that the review is always true to our findings, if we love a product we'll say so, if we don't we'll also say. Even if that may harm the potential income we may receive from writing said review.
The creators of products do not influence our reviews. Brands may send us a free sample for the review, but that is the only interaction they have. There is nothing a brand can do to earn a favorable review from us other than creating a great product.
So, how do we make money?
If a reader buys buy a product we've recommended as a result of our research, testing, and review, we sometimes receive a small commission for that purchase. Usually in the range of 2 - 8%.
This commission is earned at no cost to you and helps us continue to create useful content that helps our users find products they'll love.
On most of our reviews, you'll see a section that provides a price comparison of various merchants offering the product, when you click on one of those links and purchase, that is when our commission is earned. These are called 'affiliate links'.
If other links are found within the content, we may also earn a commission from those after you've clicked onto the merchant sites.
If you return a product, we do not earn a commission. This makes this a great system for us to earn income as our commission is only earned when you're happy with your purchase.
There’s no incentive for us to rate inferior products highly - in fact, it’s quite the opposite.
